Scarlet Rot Music Video

A Gruesome Horror Inspired Music Video

In the fall and winter of 2024, I directed, filmed, and edited a music video for the Columbus death metal band Fleshpile. We shot the entire video in a garage generously lent to me by a friend, using just four Nanlite Pavotubes to light the set.

The video was filmed with a Sony FX3 and a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. We completed the main shoot in one day, with a second day dedicated to pickup shots.

Several friends pitched in to help with practical effects, including fake blood. I used a garden sprayer to blast the band with blood. The whole project was pulled off on a shoestring budget, driven by creativity and collaboration.
